Employment Testing


POLICY OVERVIEW

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (“the university”) is a federal contractor, required by law to validate the tests upon which employment decisions are based. The purpose of validation is to ensure that tests used on behalf of the university as part of the employment process are not discriminatory in nature.

Tests are defined as all formal, scored, quantified or standardized techniques, as well as any informal technique designed to measure job suitability.

Human Resources is the only department authorized to administer tests for employment.
